We celebrated the Amazonian Evening!

On February 12th, different countries in South America celebrate Amazon Day. To be part of this commemoration, the Amazonia 2.0 project, together with IUCN South America and the European Union in Peru, joined forces in the organization of the "Amazonian Evening".

During the month of November 2020, the Amazonia 2.0 project continued with the implementation of its Collective Cross-Learning strategy, holding the VII Internal Work Session to share on this occasion the experiences of Brazil with more than 35 attendees.

Environmental Monitors committed to community monitoring

The 12 environmental monitors of the project in Colombia decided to continue monitoring the Caquetá “Mico Bonito” (monkey) as an umbrella species for the local governance process, becoming the first community group to monitor this endemic species.

APA November field activity

The Amerindian Peoples Association (APA) under the Amazonia 2.0 project recently conducted an environmental field monitoring activity in the Potaro-Siparuni Region (Region 8), where a team from the organisation spent three weeks collecting pertinent data from the seven communities that are a part of the project.
